Working for Evident: People, Perks, and Purpose

I joined Evident in June 2019 as the company’s HR and recruiting lead because I understood the importance of protecting personal data and mitigating risk, and I wanted to be a part of a company that was building a product that could help businesses manage this more effectively.

I knew our technology had the potential to make a huge impact on a lot of people and improve their lives in various ways, and while our solution has evolved over time – as is the case with most startups – our focus has remained the same: mitigating business risk with our automated verification technology.

What started out as an identity verification and background check solution has since expanded to incorporate additional and more robust capabilities, including certificates of insurance (COIs) verification, which has emerged as a market leader in reducing third-party risk for enterprises.

If you’re like me, your preconception of insurance is likely rooted in how it’s associated with most major lifecycle events (e.g. healthcare, auto, homeowners, etc.), and I’ll admit I initially thought it wasn’t the most exciting or innovative industry, but through Evident, I’ve learned how the insurance world encompasses so much more than its consumer applications, especially when you look through the lens of managing third-party risk.
